Xentry/DAS

Xentry DAS (Diagnostic Assistance System) is the complete diagnosis system that is used to troubleshoot Mercedes-Benz car problems and is the official Mercedes-Benz dealer software. It can configure, reprogram, initialization of new components, program, perform guided tests, read or erase fault codes in any of the systems including AirMatic, AirBag, SRS, EIS, Transmission, ETS, BAS,  and all of the control modules. DAS Xentry software requires the C3 Multiplexer Star or C4 SD Connect hardware. The c3 multiplexer is an earlier model that was replaced by the C4 SD Connect.

DAS Developer Mode

Developer mode of DAS for Mercedes-Benz vehicles allows in-depth configuration and programming of the control units. This option is typically enabled for the engineering version of the software. It was meant for development and testing purposes of the ECU systems. It will allow the user to change the configuration of the car. For example, you can change the ECU, program to use a different engine model, change the speed limit, copy/transfer coding data from old unit into new  and a lot more. Using Developer Mode without knowing exactly what you are doing can lead to unrecoverable electronic control units!!

Vediamo

Vediamo Software is used by the Daimler engineers to develop diagnosis and engineering software, which is now used by Xentry and DAS. It can be used for coding, programming,
Vediamo - the advanced diagnostic application for engines- is a software system for electronic control unit (ECU) diagnostics which is integrated in the CAESAR/DIOGENES process chain. It allows diagnostics on any ECU over K-line as well as CAN, and encompasses all established protocols from RTMD+, MBISO, KWFB, KW2000 to UDS.

Vediamo is based on the Mercedes-Benz DCDI standard communication platform CAESAR and hence supports all communication hardware such as, e.g., Part C, Part A, Part Y, etc
